monday.com Connector for Gravity Forms
From install to your first monday.com item in about five minutes.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or newer
- PHP 7.4 or newer
- Gravity Forms 2.7 or newer (sold separately)
- A monday.com account and personal API token
1. Install the plugin
- Download the zip from your account.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
2. Connect monday.com
- In monday.com, click your profile picture, open Developers, then My access tokens, and copy your personal API token.
- In WordPress, go to Forms → Settings → monday.com.
- Paste the token and save. A green check means the connection works.
The token has the same access as your monday.com user, so the plugin can only see and write to boards you can.
3. Create a feed
- Open a form and go to Settings → monday.com, then click Add New.
- Name the feed and choose a board. Boards are listed with their workspace.
- Choose the Action: create a new item for every entry, or update the matching item. To update, pick the column to match on (for example Email) and make sure a form field is mapped to it.
- Map form fields to board columns. The column type is shown next to each column.
- Optionally turn on conditional logic so the feed only runs for matching entries.
- Save the feed. You can add more feeds to the same form, each with its own board.
How values are formatted
- Phone: sent in international format. US numbers without a country code get +1.
- Status and Dropdown: labels that don't exist on the board yet are created. Separate several dropdown labels with commas.
- Date and Hour: converted from the Gravity Forms date and time fields.
- Week: the week containing the date, Monday to Sunday.
- Timeline: use a value like
2026-01-05 - 2026-01-20. - Rating: a number from 1 to 10.
- Checkbox: checked when the field has a value, otherwise left empty.
Under Options in a feed, you can also turn on converting US state names to two-letter codes (for example, Arizona becomes AZ) for status, dropdown and text columns.
Checking that it worked
Entries are sent in the background right after submission. Open an entry and look at its Notes: each feed adds a note saying whether the item was created, and the monday.com item ID is saved with the entry.
For more detail, turn on logging under Forms → Settings → Logging, enable the monday.com log and submit the form again.
Sending an entry again
On the entry screen, the monday.com box shows the item each feed created. ClickSend to monday.com again to resend. If the feed already created an item for this entry, that item is updated instead of a duplicate being created.
To be told about failures straight away, enter an address under Email on failure inForms → Settings → monday.com.
Troubleshooting
No green check after saving the token
Copy the token again from monday.com and make sure there are no spaces before or after it.
A board is missing from the list
Only boards your monday.com user can access are shown. Saving the plugin settings again refreshes the board list.
An entry failed to send
Network, rate-limit and monday.com server errors are retried automatically. Other errors, such as a value monday.com rejects, are written to the entry notes and the log with monday.com's message. Fix the cause, then useSend to monday.com again.
